SCHEDULE
How often the J.TEST is held, and your results.
The A-C and D-E tests are held often, and the organiser says the difficulty is kept constant from test to test. Here is when the test is held and what you can check afterwards.
Months held in Japan
According to the official 2026 schedule, the test is held in Japan in the months below. Check the official schedule page for venues, fees and registration periods.
- A-C and D-E: January, March, May, July, September, November (6 times)
- F-G: May and November (twice)
Score reports and certificates
Every candidate receives a score report by post, and candidates above the set score receive a certificate. Results can be looked up on the official website about 23 days after the test.
Reviewing after the test
After each test the official website publishes the listening audio and the answers with listening scripts (audio is available until the end of the test month). Use them to find the sections where you lost points.
Plan back from your test date
Once you know which test you will take, alternate practice on weak sections with full mock exams to check both timing and weak points.
